ContextLimit LLC

Privacy policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026.

This policy applies to the websites, apps, games and other products operated or distributed by ContextLimit LLC, including products listed on our website. What information is processed depends on the product and features you use. Product-specific privacy notices provide additional details where needed. Independently operated services, retailers and self-hosted installations have their own privacy practices.

Information we process

Not every product collects all of these categories. Some information stays on your device or a server you control and is not received by ContextLimit. Permissions such as microphone, screen or file access are used for the features you enable, not granted simply by reading this policy.

How information is used and shared

We use information to provide requested features, maintain accounts and purchases, respond to support requests, improve reliability, prevent misuse and comply with legal obligations. Where applicable, the legal basis is performing our agreement with you, your consent, legal obligations, or legitimate interests such as security and service maintenance.

Information may be processed by hosting, analytics, support, payment, speech and AI providers needed for the features you use. It may also be shared with recipients or integrations you direct us to use, where legally required, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable law. Third-party providers may process information in countries other than yours under their own terms and safeguards.

AI, recording and local-first products

AI and speech features may send your prompts, audio, transcripts and relevant context to configured providers. Local storage does not mean all processing happens on-device. Provider retention and model-training practices depend on the provider, account settings and service used; this policy does not promise zero retention or change those settings.

Recording features require the applicable permissions and participant consent. While a listening mode is active, speech can be processed before a wake word or question is detected. Optional conversation logging can retain transcripts and related suggestions on your selected server. You can stop capture and change retention through the product controls; disabling retention is not necessarily the same as turning off the microphone.

For self-hosted products, the server operator controls stored content, connected providers and deletion. Pairing credentials, preferences and recent history may also be saved on your device. ContextLimit cannot access or delete independently hosted records merely because it distributes the software.

Retention, security and your choices

We retain information we control for as long as needed for its stated purpose, taking into account account activity, support needs, security and legal requirements. Local and self-hosted retention depends on the product and operator settings. Deleting an app or a transcript does not necessarily delete server records, accepted tasks, exports, backups or copies held by others.

Use available settings to manage permissions, recordings, saved content, integrations and analytics choices. You may also contact us to request access, correction, export or deletion of information we hold. Depending on your location, you may have rights to withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing, and complain to a privacy regulator. We may need to verify your request. Contact the relevant operator or provider for information it controls.

We use reasonable safeguards for information we handle, but no system is completely secure. Keep devices and credentials protected, and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate authorization, please contact us.
